Buddy and Miss Kitty are victims of the economic crisis. Their original owner lost his job and apartment and had to give them up. These cats are very friendly--with each other and with people. They are in good health, FeLV an FIV negative. Miss Kitty is a Scottish fold, which is why she has the tiny bent ears. They need a good, stable home.
Baxter was rescued off the streets with a flea collar imbedded in his throat. The collar had been put on when he was a kitten--before he was abandoned--and it was so tight that the skin had begun to grow over it. He was both having difficulty swallowing and also on the verge of a massive infection. Baxter is about eight months old, very energetic, friendly, purrs a lot and plays hard.He is healthy and has been neutered and is FeLV/FIV negative.

Little Mac was being chased across the street by a dog and was nearly hit by a car before being nearly eaten when one of the FFUR staff rescued him. He’s about seven months old, in good health, neutered and in need of a good home. He’s sweet and friendly and seems to like other cats. He’s already lost several of his nine lives and needs love.

Darla is a handful--literally. One of the Holstein clan of feral cats we tend at FFUR (so named because of their distinctive black and white markings), Darling Darla as we call her has a few issues. She’s loving--on her own terms. But being caged has made her less docile than she was when we first rescued her. She provides a challenge for whoever takes her in and does not get along with other cats. But she is getting better with people every day and would benefit from a loving and patient home. She is in perfect health and just over a year old. She has been spayed and is up to date on all her vaccinations.

Frankie is five months old and incredibly friendly and sweet. He was found on the Frankford El tracks a few weeks ago, trying to catch some mice. He was thin, starving and infested with fleas. He has been neutered, is in perfect health (FeLV/FIV negative) and has had all his vaccinations. He is very loving, seems to like other cats and loves to play and be held. He needs a home now.

Theodore is a genuinely sweet and handsome tuxedo loverboy, with auburn highlights, recently rescued in University City. He is FIV positive, is approximately 1.5 to 2 yrs old, and has just been neutered and given his vaccines. Theo craves full-time love and companionship, either as a single kitty or perhaps with another FIV+ kitty. He has a wonderful and gentle nature from the moment he meets you; he just wants to be your best friend and to be near you.
Theo needs a foster or permanent situation with someone who has lots of love to give, preferably someone with a comfortable lap, who will whisper sweet nothings in his ear and pet him forever. He is currently fostering in a small room by himself, in a house where there are multiple kitties (including four other foster kitties), so he’s lonely a lot of the time. But he doesn’t resent; he is thankful for anything he receives, and he will tell you so! This guy deserves the best and will never take you for granted. All he needs is love.

Beardsley and Goldie were adopted by a lovely older couple in center city and are happily living together with their new persons in a beautiful high-rise apartment with a gorgeous view of the city.

Myrtle is a little spitfire. She loves to play with the bigger cats and has no problem telling them who’s boss. She’s also very sweet and loves people (especially ones with treats!). She is FeLV and FIV negative and neutered. Myrtle will fill the right person’s life with excitement and fun.

Lulu is an adorable little girl with a shy, mild personality. She simply thrives on affection, but sometimes becomes a bit skittish. She may have been abused by a former owner or while living on the streets. If a gentle, low-maintenance kitty is what you need, Lulu is the cat for you. She is FeLV and FIV negative and neutered.

Bernie is a sweet, quiet cat, who thrives on affection. He follows you around waiting to be petted, and loves to sit on your lap. His favorite thing is being brushed. He may have been abused by a former owner as he is sometimes shy. He is very healthy, but is positive for FIV. This just means he cannot be an outdoor cat, and needs a healthy diet. He is FeLV negative and neutered.
